Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation (also known as augmentation mammoplasty or breast enlargement) is a surgical procedure to enhance the size and shape of the breast:
-
It can significantly boost self-esteem and confidence
It can improve breast symmetry and achieve a better balance and proportion in your silhouette
It can be a life-changing reconstructive option following oncological breast surgery or in the context of congenital differences
Breast augmentation is a commonly performed plastic surgery procedure and is performed using silicone implants inserted through an incision under the breasts.
Breast enlargement takes up to 2 hours to perform under general anaesthesia, and you may need to stay for a night in the hospital. During your recovery, you will need to wear a non-wired surgical-approved bra for 6 - 8 weeks after your surgery.
The shape of your breasts will settle over the next few months to reveal a more natural look.

Breast Lift
A breast lift (also known as mastopexy) is an aesthetic surgical procedure aimed to improve the shape of the breast by lifting and tightening the breast tissue and removing redundant skin:
-
It can restore a youthful, fuller appearance of your breasts
It can help improve the shape of breasts that have changed due to weight loss
It can help improve breast symmetry
It is important to note that this procedure does not aim to change the size/ volume of the breasts.
A breast lift involves incisions around the areola, vertically down the breast from the areola, and in some cases horizontally underneath the breast. The procedure removes excess skin, tightens the underlying breast tissue with stitches, and moves the nipples to a higher position to match the new breast contour.
A breast lift can take 2 to 3 hours to perform and you can go home the same day. After the surgery, you will be required to wear a supportive surgical bra for 6 - 8 weeks.

Breast Reduction
Breast reduction (or reduction mammoplasty) is a procedure to reduce breast size, and in some cases to improve symmetry:
-
Breast reduction can relieve back or neck ache associated with large breasts
It helps to lift the breast and reposition the nipple to create an aesthetically harmonious look
It can improve aesthetic breast symmetry and boost confidence
Prior to breast reduction, you may be required to have a mammogram. During a reduction mammoplasty, excess skin and breast tissue are removed from the breast to reduce its size and to lift the breast.
The nipples are then repositioned to suit the new shape. You should expect an incision scar around each areola (the darker skin of the nipple), down to the fold of the breast and often along the fold of your breast.
After a breast reduction, your breasts will settle into a more natural shape within a few months. You will be advised to wear a surgical-approved supportive bra for 6 - 8 weeks to support the shape while tissues are healing. Reduction mammoplasty can occasionally affect breastfeeding, so speak with your surgeon if you plan a pregnancy following surgery.

Nipple Correction
Nipple correction is a minor surgery that reshapes and repositions flat or inverted nipples:
-
It restores the shape of a nipple
It can improve symmetry between the nipples
It is an effective addition to other breast corrective procedures, including creation of a nipple, where one is absent
Inverted nipple correction surgery is suitable for both men and women, though it can affect breastfeeding in women. During the procedure, milk ducts and surrounding tissue around the nipple are either stretched or cut depending on individual needs. This releases the nipple and allows it to protrude naturally. A splint may be applied for a week to encourage protrusion.
The procedure takes 30-60 minutes and you should be able to return home the same day. Downtime for inverted nipple correction is about 1 week after which you can return to work. You should refrain from strenuous physical activity for 4-6 weeks. The final outcome depends on the individual’s degree of inversion and the technique used.

Areola Reduction
Areola reduction is an aesthetic procedure, aimed at reducing the size of the areola - the darker coloured area of skin around the nipples. Areola reduction can be a stand-alone procedure, suitable for both men and women:
-
It helps to aesthetically improve the diameter and shape of the areola
It can improve symmetry
It pairs effectively with other breast corrective procedures
During the procedure, incisions will be made around the areola and the surrounding tissue will then be re-draped and tightened to reduce the diameter of the darker area.
An areola reduction takes up to an hour, and you will be able to return home the same day. Any discomfort should reside within 2 days, but it will take around 2 weeks to heal.

“Mr. Chummun explained the procedure and risks in a lot of detail before we scheduled the procedure date. He also gave me plenty of material to read in case I missed something.
He answered all my questions and was really reassuring. I'm really happy with the results of my surgery, they look so much better than I could have imagined.”
