Mr Shaheel Chummun is a consultant plastic surgeon in Bristol, specialising in plastic, reconstructive, cleft, and aesthetic surgery.

Mr Shaheel Chummun is a dedicated, fellowship-trained plastic surgeon with extensive knowledge and experience in his field. Shaheel first committed to plastic surgery for his drive to make an impactful difference in his patients' lives and places great emphasis on the quality of his patients' experience.

He achieved his MBBS  in 2001  from The Medical School, University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, driven by the motivation to tangibly improve people’s lives. 

Shaheel studied as a plastic surgery trainee from 2006 until 2008 when he became a Plastic Surgery Registrar, and then a Specialist Plastic Surgery Registrar in 2010.

In 2014 Shaheel undertook an advanced training fellowship in Craniofacial Surgery at the world-renowned Australian Craniofacial Unit in Adelaide. This was followed by an intensive focus on Cleft Lip and Palate Surgery at the NHS Guys' and St Thomas’ Hospital in 2016.

  • He returned to Craniofacial surgeries to earn a master's in advanced surgery from Macquarie University in Sydney. During this time, he received the Ethics Prize for his groundbreaking thesis advocating for patients' safety and rights within the surgical field. Shaheel’s commitment to excellence in patient experience echoes through the relationships with all his patients today.

    Expanding both his skills and knowledge, Shaheel started two aesthetic fellowships, one at The London Clinic and another at the Cadogan Clinic in Chelsea. He was recognised by the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (BAAPS/ Scar Free Foundation Aesthetic Fellow).

    In 2017 he was appointed as a Cleft and Plastic Surgery Consultant at the South West Cleft Services and is the only plastic surgeon in the South West of England who undertakes complex cleft rhinoplasties in his NHS practice. In 2017 he also undertook a microsurgical fellowship, and in 2018 he became a Consultant Plastic, Cleft and Aesthetic Surgeon with the NHS.

    Beyond his clinical practices, he is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences, where he shares expertise and insights. Additionally, he has authored over 40 scientific articles and active images in teaching at the graduate level.

Miss Jurga Pikturnaite is a highly regarded consultant specialising in plastic reconstructive, hand, and aesthetic surgery.

Miss Jurga Pikturnaite is a top-to-toe plastic reconstructive, hand, and aesthetic surgeon, driven by an empathetic motivation to support form and function. With extensive surgical experience and multiple fellowships, Jurga is committed to diversifying her own skill set and carrying the skill forward through mentoring, supervising and supporting trainee plastic surgeons, and her position as an honorary lecturer at Cardiff University. 

Jurga entered medicine at Vilnius University in Lithuania with a lifelong motivation to improve the quality of life for people. She achieved her MD in 2005 and has since undergone extensive surgical and aesthetic training that now allows her to specialise in trauma reconstructive hand surgery and microsurgery: the repair of shape, the restoration of function, and -where needed- creatively enhancing and structuring beauty. 

  • Jurga started working in the field of plastic surgery in the NHS in 2008, undertaking further recognised surgical specialisation training from 2015 to 2021 that reflects her enduring commitment to staying at the forefront of emerging surgical innovation. 

    She later undertook a hand surgery fellowship in South Wales and a paediatric hand fellowship at Great Ormond Street Hospital For Children in 2021, followed by a aesthetic fellowship at the Wood MedSpa in 2022.

    With her extensive background and commitment to surgical excellence, Miss Jurga continues to make significant contributions to the field of plastic surgery, particularly in areas of reconstruction and aesthetics. Her contributions to the field also include her educational position as an honorary lecturer at Cardiff University and her ongoing responsibilities as a mentor to trainee surgeons.
